My grandmother once told me the story of the origin of the mafia. She said that the young daughter of a rich and powerful Sicilian family was raped. The child came home to her mother, who ran out into the streets shouting “Ma fia, ma fia!” The girl’s brothers killed the men who defiled their sister, but those men were connected to a rich and powerful family as well, and so the feuding began.

Good story, true or not. The mafia is my way of life. No crime is beneath me, from kidnapping to car theft, pimping or murder, I stop at nothing. My one goal is to make money and maintain my family’s honour. What have we gained? Ammo factories, racing tracks, airports, hospitals, we even own some prisons. To me, kidnapping a President is the same as supplying The Pope with my working girls. It means nothing more than money and security to my family.

It’s about business, power and control. We own markets – legal stocks and illegal drugs. Presidents listen to us because we own them too. Fast cars, powerful allies, it’s what we’re about. My garages all over the world are showrooms for the best and the fastest. We are the ones who keep you safe, so long as you show us due respect. We are family. We are danger. We fight to death for honour and we shoot our way to the top.

If you choose this way of life, know that there is no leaving without a paying a high price. You start at the bottom and fight, steal, gamble, pimp and kill your way to the top. This life isn’t all glamour. It takes hard work and careful honing of your skills to stay alive. Earn respect by working hard and working often. Lose respect and you might just lose your life. To be the best, you have to defeat the best, and the best never die easily. Even if they do, their family will attack you.
